Just 3 machines in this review. Believe me though when I say that we are not physical giants by any means, & reviewing these heavy demolition hammers was a hard day’s work by normal standards!

Overall winner for the money is the TradeTools Direct TTD90; no question about it! The Bosch machine does have an array of technical advantages when it comes to vibration control & at least a few more advantages relating to operator comfort & noise levels. The Bosch advantages have been commended in the review itself. However, these machines are all big, heavy, & awkward; using them is quite simply, very hard work.

The advantages referred to concerning the Bosch machine did not substantially change the degree of effort required from the operator when compared to the other two machines. During our testing process, we could not actually separate the difference in performance for instance, out of the TradeTools Direct TTD90 & the Bosch GSH 27 Hammers. The considerable price difference between these two machines however, swung the balance clearly in favour of the TradeTools Direct TTD90.

We chose to also include the TradeTools Direct TTD70AS in this review. It is substantially smaller & lighter than the other two machines & as such occupies a relatively different position in the market place. Therefore, we have not attempted to directly compare this machine with the other larger demolition hammers. It must be said though, that the TTD70AS is a powerful, robust, very capable demolition hammer that may be the choice of many operators who mostly work with softer materials (such as trenching). As we have stated in the review, the quality & price of the TTD70AS is quite outstanding.

What We Did.

This is perhaps the easiest part of this review to describe in that we went out & found a lump of concrete that needed to be removed & then used each of these machines in turn to remove it. No rocket science needed!
